How a visit to your grounds works.
Four steps that are the same at every visit — what happens in between depends on the season.
Visual check on arrival
We look over the grounds before we start: what has grown, where is water standing, where has the wind left branches, is growth reaching into the footpath or road? That determines what gets brought forward today.
Preparing and making safe
Wherever powered equipment is used, we cordon off the area. Brush cutters and leaf blowers throw stones, and a courtyard has children, delivery drivers and parked cars in it — so we decide beforehand which way we will work and what needs covering up.
Working to the season and the schedule of services
Lawn, hedges, beds, weeds on paths and in paving joints — what is due depends on the time of year, not on a rigid pattern. With hedges we keep to the statutory dates: between 1 March and 30 September, section 39 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act permits only gentle shaping and maintenance cuts; hard cutting back is prohibited during that period. We therefore plan larger cutbacks for the autumn — and tell you so in advance, rather than promising something in spring that is not allowed.
Final check and report
We take the cuttings and green waste away and dispose of them — they do not end up in your tenants' bins. We then walk the grounds once more, sweep the paths and record the visit in the report, with photos.
